Hard coral richness

Map of estimated hard coral richness in the GBR. The areas of highest richness were the far northern GBR, and the offshore region. The inshore areas of lowest richness were the Wet Tropics (north of Hinchinbrook Island to about Port Douglas), and the Broad Sound and Keppel region.
