Description
Inside the SeaSim aquarium facilities of the Australian Institute of Marine Science (AIMS, Townsville, Queensland) showing some of the large (1,500 L) fibreglass tanks used in dredging-related studies. Corals and sponges are placed on a false bottom floor made from fibre reinforced plastic grating at a depth of 50 cm below the surface. Each tank had a perspex window for observations during the experiments. (Image courtesy of AIMS).
