Impact of fire on rainforest

Fire occurs naturally in lowland eucalypt woodlands, removing grasses, vines and rainforest tree seedlings. The eucalypts and associated species recover rapidly from such fires, but we are interested in the extent to which fire suppresses rainforest invasion and improves woodland habitat condition for mahogany gliders.
