Echinopora horrida

Echinopora horrida is a species of Hard Coral of the family Faviidae. This photo also shows a Crown-of-thorns starfish (COTS) Acanthaster planci. Numerous COTS were found around Aureed Island during this survey. This specimen was found at Aureed Island Reef in the Torres Strait as part of a biodiversity survey in February 2013.
