Bund wall removal site in Jerona wetland
Photographers: Nathan Waltham
Description
Coastal salt pans and vegetation provide important nursery habitat for fish and crustaceans, not to mention it also provides a role in nutrient processing. Removal a small section of the bund wall has allowed saltwater ingress into the freshwater wetland upstream, which has contributed to widespread destruction of invasive freshwater weeds, and replaced it with saltmarsh grass
