Description

Australia's first coral nurseries have been established at Fitzroy Island. NESP project 4.3 - Best practice coral restoration for the Great Barrier Reef, has provided scientific and logistical support to the deployment and monitoring of the nursery structures. The picture shows one Acropora fragment suspended on a coral nursery tree . These fragments will grow and eventually be outplanted on a restoration site.
