Dr Simon Haberle (ANU) and Dr Jasmyn Lynch (Canberra University) with a group of international students taking soil cores from Chumbrumba swamp. Analyses of the cores may reveal charcoal deposits, indicating fire in adjacent Mabi rainforest.
