Destruction of the litoral of the rainforest caused by severe tropical cyclone Yasi in 2010

Severe tropical cyclone Yasi in 2010 destroyed much of the littoral rainforest in the area between Ingham and Innisfail, and dumped tonnes of sand on the remainder. Fire is no longer a concern in these areas until fuel levels capable of carrying a fire build up again.
