Pre-release data collection and tagging of short-nosed sea snake (from IMG_5342)

Short-nosed sea snake (Aipysurus apraefrontalis) pit-tagged by University of Adelaide research team before its release back into the Exmouth Gulf. Data was obtained on reproductive condition and diet and a DNA sample was collected for population genetic analyses of this critically endangered-listed species.
