Where are soft corals known to exist in N and NW Australia's Key Ecological Features?
Researchers from Project D1 of the Marine Biodiversity Hub of the National Environmental Science Programme present this interactive map-based summary of where soft corals are known to exist in the Key Ecological Features of the N and NW regions.
Data were obtained from the Atlas of Living Australia, the Western Australian Museum, and the Australian Institute of Marine Science. As our aim in collating this data was to identify locations where soft corals had ever been observed, we retained all data regardless of age. The data contains records of where soft corals are known to exist, but none where they are known to be absent.
