Warraber (Sue) Island is a beautiful island in the central Torres Strait

Madracis kirbyi is a classed as 'rare', despite the fact that is is found over a wide geographic area. This colony was found near the deep logger site at Warraber (Sue) Island.

Woiz Reef was chosen as a long-term temperature monitoring site over other reefs in the south-central Torres Strait because the reef slope is within easy swimming distance from the cay.

Woiz Reef is one of our long-term temperature monitoriong sites and has a small coral cay on it. It is also a popular anchorage with trawlers an general fishing boats.
